About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Image Review in Charlotte, North Carolina. The position provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned logistics and distribution site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may work part-time hours or pick up enough shifts to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The stated pay rate is $17.39 per hour.

The schedule lists Wednesday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. Duties include customer service, site security procedures, screening people and deliveries, monitoring access and property, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment, depending on state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badging is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering designated areas, including verifying credentials and directing people to appropriate locations.
• Monitor access points, package-handling areas, and surrounding property for unusual activity, prohibited items, and unauthorized entry.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
