About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, responding to alarms and concerns, and providing clear, customer-focused communication. Officers follow security procedures and site-specific policies and may participate in emergency response activities. The schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday, 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with alarm panels.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Experience with access control and badge systems.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using problem-solving skills.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
Monitor assigned areas and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
Support access control activities and respond to alarms and concerns.
