About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare location in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. The role includes providing courteous, compassionate customer service and clear communication to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors, as well as using computer or tablet systems as needed. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Pay is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, access-control concerns, and other critical situations, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or security concerns.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, wayfinding, and facility entry procedures.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
Use computer or tablet systems as needed.
