About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced at an Amazon Warehouse in Mebane, North Carolina. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Employees may increase or reduce their hours, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week. The listed pay rate is $18.36 per hour. The posted schedule is Saturday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Alarm panel experience.
• CPR certification.
• Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
