About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location in Downey, California, you will help safeguard the site by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security-related concerns, and providing customer service. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal’s driver policy. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM and Sunday from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by following security procedures and site-specific policies and carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations; document observations and incidents according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, public access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Maintain a professional presence and interact respectfully with members of the public, government staff, and first responders.
