About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer in Allentown, Pennsylvania, you will help safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies. The role includes unarmed patrols, monitoring access and visitor activity, responding to security concerns, and documenting observations and incidents. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience.
CPR certification; CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Experience with access control systems and badge management.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and observations.
