About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Response Security Officer for a full-time position in Portsmouth, Virginia. The role varies by day and special event and may involve customer service, patrols, surveillance, and responding to incidents. Officers must adapt quickly while helping protect people and property. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The hourly wage is $19.00. Uniforms are provided at no cost. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Have an active DCJS License.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process, including a background check and drug screening after an offer of employment.
• Be able to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
• Have responsive and strong problem-solving skills.
• Have a state license if required.

• Security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the premises to ensure security.
• Conduct patrols to identify suspicious activity.
