About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Security Officer for a surveillance-focused role in Houston, Texas. The officer monitors security systems and activity, with a strong focus on observation, attention to detail, computer use, and data entry. The role also involves patrols, access control, incident response, and protecting people and property. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. The hourly wage is $15.25. Requirements

Be authorized to work in the United States.
Have very strong computer skills, with a focus on data entry.
Demonstrate close attention to detail.
Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
Pass an extensive screening process, including a background check and drug screening after an offer of employment.
Have strong report-writing skills.
Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
Have strong proficiency with technology.
Hold a state license if required.

Responsibilities

Perform heavy data entry using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Office tools.
Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
