About The Position

As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol in Westfield, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients at a healthcare location. This unarmed patrol role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, responding to security-related concerns, and providing customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. You will use technology to document activities and support daily operations while working with a caring, reliable team.

The position is part-time and pays $20.50 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday and Thursday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. Employees can also use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, follow established protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as assigned, and documenting visitor activity according to site-specific policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
• Use technology to document activities and support daily operations.
