About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a reception/front desk role at a financial institution in Springfield, Illinois. The officer serves as a welcoming, visible presence, monitors facility access, greets and directs visitors, and supports security procedures. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and maintaining an orderly environment. Pay is $18.54 per hour. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors, direct them appropriately, and maintain a professional front-desk presence at a financial services location.
Monitor facility access by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining sign-in records, and following site-specific access procedures.
Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and other assigned systems; promptly report unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document activities, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed.
