About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for visitor access management at an industrial location in Navarre, Ohio. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with opportunities to build up to 40 hours per week and the option to scale back. The position involves customer service, access control, patrols, incident response, and accurate reporting.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing temporary badges, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and access control actions according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
