About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Facility Patrol at a financial institution in West Des Moines, Iowa, you will help safeguard the client by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and responding to security-related concerns. The role emphasizes reliable service, teamwork, integrity, and professional customer service for employees and visitors.

This is a full-time position paying $20.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday through Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using a problem-solving approach and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities through clear and timely reports.
