About The Position

The Security Officer position is a full-time role within the Security Department. This role requires individuals to perform various security-related duties to ensure the safety and security of the organization. Key responsibilities include patrolling, reporting, and maintaining interpersonal relationships. The role also demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under various conditions.

Requirements

• Security/Law Enforcement/Military background of at least 2 years or more
• High School Diploma/GED
• Possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license
• Contact With Others ability
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail
• Strong analytical ability
• Problem solving skill
• Face to Face Discussion skills needed
• Overtime as required
• Must be in good physical condition
• Must be able to remain in elements for extended periods of time
• Must be able to do required foot patrols
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds/27 kilograms

Responsibilities

• Follow out organizational security activities
• Follow out organizational process or policy changes
• Prepare reports related to security matters
• Perform interior/exterior patrols (including stairs)
• Work for extended periods of time in the elements
• Stand for prolong periods of time
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds as needed
