About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer to support a utilities location in Plainfield, Indiana. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access to restricted operational areas, and observing and reporting security concerns. The role also involves providing customer service, responding to incidents and alarms, and completing required documentation. The position pays $16.00 per hour and follows a scheduled mix of weekday evening and weekend day shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted operational areas and verify visitor, contractor, and employee authorization according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document observations.
Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and public responders.
Provide customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.
