About The Position

We are currently hiring a part-time Security Officer for a client site in Schenectady, NY. Schedule: Friday through Sunday 1500-2300 (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) 24 hours per week Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour We are looking for a reliable and proactive Security Officer to help ensure the safety and security of our premises and residents. This role involves providing excellent customer service, conducting patrols, monitoring security systems, and responding appropriately to security concerns. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using basic technology, including CCTV systems and reporting tools.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Previous security experience is a plus, but not required.
• If you have retail, food service or hospitality industry background you are a great fit for this role; if not, we will provide you with the training and everything you need for a great introduction to a career in the security industry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular walking patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Monitor CCTV and other surveillance equipment.
• Complete clear and accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Interact professionally with residents, visitors, and site staff.
• Follow established security procedures and contact emergency services when necessary.
• Observe and report unusual, suspicious, or unsafe activity.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations in a professional manner.
