About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time License Verification in New York, NY. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned financial institution site, with a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The scheduled shift is Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The pay rate is $21.52 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, monitors access and restricted areas, responds to incidents, conducts patrols, and helps maintain a professional and welcoming environment. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply before employment.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be 21 or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to financial institution clients while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and critical situations, and promptly communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers.
