Security Officers - FT for Premier location in the Chester $16-$17 (Operations)
About The Position
Top Guard Security is hiring full-time Security Officers for a premier location in Chester, Virginia. The role provides access control at the facility entrance, verifies the identity of visitors, maintains entry and exit logs, inspects vehicles before entry, and patrols the facility to help keep the site and personnel safe. The position offers paid training and opportunities for advancement. Pay is $16 per hour, with a $17-per-hour differential for the 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift. Shifts may vary slightly; full-time workdays vary Monday through Sunday. Weekend part-time positions are also available for all shifts.
Requirements
- Be able to use a computer for daily logs, incident reports, and entry reports.
- Have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Have outstanding customer service skills.
- Pass a physical fitness test.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be able to walk for up to a 12-hour shift.
Responsibilities
- Provide access control at the entrance gate.
- Check identification to verify each person’s identity.
- Complete entry logs for people entering the facility and record them when they leave.
- Inspect vehicles before allowing entry, including the interior, truck, underside, and under the hood; inspect a truck’s bed or trailer as applicable.
- Patrol the facility to help ensure the safety of the site and personnel.
