Security Officers - FT and PT for Premier location in the Chester $17.50 (Operations)
About The Position
Top Guard Security is hiring full-time and part-time Security Officers for a manufacturing facility in Chester, Virginia. The officer will safeguard the client, staff, visitors, and facility while supporting site operations through teamwork, integrity, and professional customer service. Duties include managing access at the entrance gate and building lobby, checking identities and credentials, documenting arrivals and departures, verifying shipping documents, announcing visitors to employees, and ensuring visitors are escorted from the lobby. Officers will also inspect vehicles before entry and patrol the facility to help keep the site and its personnel safe. The listed pay rate is $17.50 per hour. Shifts may vary slightly; full-time schedules run across days Monday through Sunday, and part-time weekend positions are available across all shifts. Listed shifts are 7 a.m.–3 p.m., 3 p.m.–11 p.m., and 11 p.m.–7 a.m.
Requirements
- Able to use a computer for daily logs, incident reports, and entry reports.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Able to pass a physical fitness test.
- Reliable transportation.
- Able to walk for up to a 12-hour shift.
Responsibilities
- Provide access control at the facility entrance gate.
- Check identification and credentials to verify the identity of people entering the facility.
- Complete entry logs for each person entering and record their departure when they leave.
- Verify shipping documents for deliveries.
- Inspect vehicles before allowing entry, including the interior, truck, underside, and under the hood; inspect truck beds or trailers as applicable.
- Manage lobby visitor access by verifying identity, documenting visitors, notifying employees of their arrival, and ensuring visitors are escorted from the lobby.
- Patrol the facility to help ensure the safety of the site and personnel.
- Maintain a professional presence and attitude that helps deter security-related incidents.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly while supporting site operations.
