About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Guest Services in Lakeland, Florida. The role provides customer service and front-desk security at a logistics and distribution location. The officer is hired for an assigned site and a designated weekly shift, which requires a six-month commitment. In addition to the anchor shift, the officer may claim extra shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional hours can vary, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as much as 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $15.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, delivery drivers, and/or employees at a front desk, following site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Monitor visitor and vehicle arrivals, verify credentials as directed, issue appropriate visitor access materials, and maintain accurate entry and departure records.
• Answer phones, direct inquiries, communicate with site personnel, and provide information about facility access, deliveries, and site protocols.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Monitor front-desk activity and report unusual conditions, policy concerns, and security-related incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
