Security Officer - Hospital Security - Part Time

About The Position

As a part-time experienced hospital Security Officer in Roanoke, Virginia, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare settings. You will monitor and patrol hospital areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through professional communication and customer service. You may assist with sensitive healthcare-related situations while following site procedures. The position is scheduled Thursday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at a pay rate of $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Monitor and patrol hospital areas and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents.
Support patients, visitors, and staff through professional communication and customer service.
Assist with sensitive healthcare-related situations while following site procedures.
