About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in a healthcare setting in Richmond, Virginia. The role safeguards patients, visitors, and staff through security procedures, patrols, access control, incident response, and customer service. Duties may include responding to sensitive situations and supporting morgue-related protocols. The stated schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
Be able to restrain individuals.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen, subject to applicable laws.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and critical situations, including medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and visitor concerns.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facility areas, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor management according to site-specific procedures.
Document incidents, observations, and relevant activities accurately and promptly, and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
