About The Position

The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of guests, employees, and the property while supporting other departments in delivering high levels of guest and employee service. The role calls for an engaging, detail-oriented person who learns and leads by example and responds professionally and courteously to guests and team members. The Security Officer supports the team personally and professionally and maintains a professional, collaborative atmosphere while carrying out property and Benchmark safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Carry out the property’s and Benchmark’s safety policies and procedures while maintaining professionalism and teamwork according to service standards.
Follow safety procedures to help ensure a safe working environment for guests and associates.
Conduct timely preventive patrols and maintain a high security presence throughout the premises to reduce opportunities for crime.
Promote and preserve peace on the premises to maintain a comfortable, non-threatening environment for guests and employees.
Aid, or seek aid for, people in danger of physical harm or in need of medical attention.
Respond to emergencies according to the property’s Emergency Service Procedures.
Protect guest and employee information in written reports and general business operations.
Complete Daily Activity and Incident Reports.
Help ensure compliance with liquor laws.
Assist in developing and presenting security-related programs.
Review and edit written records produced by Security Officers.
Perform duties in other job classifications when deemed necessary by the immediate superior.
