About The Position

The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of guests, employees, and the property. The role supports other department activities to help ensure high levels of guest and employee service. The successful candidate is engaging, detail-oriented, willing to learn and lead by example, and responds professionally and courteously to guests and team members while supporting the team personally and professionally. Responsibilities

Carry out the property's and Benchmark's safety policies and procedures while maintaining professionalism and teamwork in accordance with service standards.
Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for guests and associates.
Conduct timely preventive patrols and maintain a high security presence throughout the premises to reduce opportunities for crime.
Promote and preserve peace on the premises to provide a comfortable, non-threatening environment for guests and employees.
Aid, or seek aid for, individuals in danger of physical harm or in need of medical attention.
Respond to emergencies according to the property's Emergency Service Procedures.
Protect the security of guest and employee information in written reports and general business operations.
Complete daily activity and incident reports.
Help ensure compliance with liquor laws.
Assist in developing and presenting security-related programs.
Review and edit written records produced by Security Officers.
Perform duties in other job classifications as deemed necessary by the immediate superior.
