About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Utility Company in Everett MA. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. Using computer or tablet tools as needed, you will help maintain a welcoming environment while delivering reliable service with integrity, teamwork, and care.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, access points, and designated operational areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident reports.
  • Observe for unusual conditions, potential hazards, and policy violations, and promptly report findings to site leadership and emergency responders as directed.
