About The Position

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Gas Company in Everett MA. As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control and badge procedures, and provide exceptional customer service. Use computer or tablet tools to document activities and communicate clearly with site personnel. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, following visitor and contractor entry procedures, and reporting access concerns to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post instructions and escalation procedures.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
