About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Controlled Entry Authorization in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer supporting a utility location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter incidents. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unauthorized access, unusual activity, and maintenance concerns.
  • Communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-related issues, incidents, and required follow-up.
