About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for an assigned logistics and distribution site in Bedford Park, Illinois. The role offers a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Hours can vary from week to week, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. The listed shift is Thursday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while following site-specific security procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency-response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, trailer yards, entry points, and perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry and exit of personnel, visitors, drivers, and deliveries according to site policies.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities in required logs and reports.
