About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Response in Fairlawn, Ohio. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned healthcare facility, with the option to claim additional shifts at that or other sites through the company’s scheduling platform. The assigned anchor shift requires a six-month commitment. Employees may work additional hours, potentially building up to 40 hours per week, while retaining the option to scale back. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour.

The officer provides security and customer service to patients, visitors, and staff; responds to incidents and emergencies; conducts unarmed patrols; monitors access and visitor activity; and communicates observations and completes reports. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Applicable licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency-response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership, site representatives, patients, visitors, and staff.
