About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced Security Officer in Columbus, Ohio, to provide security services at an assigned site. The role offers a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed schedule is Wednesday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.98 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor and vehicle entry records according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, damaged property, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
