About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in Santa Cruz, California. The role provides reliable weekly anchor shifts, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and schedule. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, potentially building up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The pay rate is $20.80 per hour.

The posted schedule is Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The officer provides customer service, follows security procedures and site policies, responds to incidents and emergencies, and conducts regular and random patrols. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
