About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations in Wailuku, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government court location, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and communicating clearly with court personnel and the public. Your visible presence and customer-focused approach will help deter security-related incidents while supporting orderly daily operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Screen individuals, personal property, and permitted items entering court facilities in accordance with established procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Operate screening equipment, including walk-through metal detectors and X-ray systems, and identify prohibited or suspicious items for appropriate follow-up.
  • Provide customer service by directing visitors, answering general questions, and communicating entry requirements in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, promptly notifying appropriate court personnel and/or emergency responders.
  • Maintain awareness of activity at assigned screening locations and complete required documentation, incident reports, and access-related records.
