About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by screening individuals and belongings, monitoring access points, and identifying potential security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support site procedures. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-screening protocols at a government location.
  • Screen individuals and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; identify prohibited items and report findings to appropriate personnel.
  • Verify identification, visitor authorization, and access credentials in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate logs and incident documentation, and communicate observations or concerns to site leadership and law enforcement personnel as directed.
