As a Security Officer Full Time X Ray Screening Operations in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment and established procedures to help identify prohibited items and support a secure environment. You will interact professionally with employees and visitors, document observations, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or belongings in accordance with facility access procedures and applicable policies.
  • Monitor access points and shipping or distribution areas, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
