As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people and items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service while using technology to document activities and communicate with the team. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or materials entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
  • Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of belongings, shipments, and restricted-access areas as directed.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, business operations, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report observations.
