About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Operations in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by screening individuals and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activities, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and team members. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Screen individuals, bags, packages, and other authorized items in accordance with established procedures while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation before permitting entry as directed by site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Maintain accurate screening and incident documentation and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
