About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an access coordination role at a logistics and distribution location in West Columbia, South Carolina. The officer will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a professional presence to help deter incidents. The role also involves providing customer service and clear communication to employees, visitors, and drivers while supporting security-related operations. The posted schedule is Friday and Saturday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. The pay rate is $14.00 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state and/or local licensing requirements that may apply before employment.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
Control access to loading areas, employee entrances, and other restricted locations in accordance with established procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to identify unauthorized access or security-related concerns.
