About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Access Control Security Officer in Portland, Tennessee. The officer will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, controlling access, and providing professional customer service. The role requires visible presence, clear communication, and appropriate responses to security concerns while supporting a team-oriented culture built on integrity. The position pays $21.00 per hour. The posted schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary according to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access credentials, and maintain visitor and delivery records according to site requirements.
Control access to restricted areas and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
