Security Officer Part Time Access Coordination
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a government location in Phoenix, Arizona. The role involves safeguarding the site by monitoring access points, assisting with badge and visitor procedures, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and providing professional customer service and communication. Officers work with site-specific procedures and security policies and respond to incidents and emergencies according to established protocols. The schedule is Monday and Wednesday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $21.32 per hour. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location while following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies, following established response protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and notifications for site leadership and appropriate personnel.
