About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced Security Officer for access coordination at an assigned retail distribution location in Plant City, Florida. The role provides a dependable weekly anchor shift, with a required six-month commitment to the designated site and schedule. The officer may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform and can build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $17.59 per hour. The posted schedule is Wednesday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include monitoring access points, verifying credentials and delivery documentation, maintaining logs, controlling entry and exit, patrolling assigned areas, and reporting security concerns. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control entry and exit of personnel and vehicles according to site requirements.
• Respond calmly to access-control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating information to appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, docks, and perimeter locations, and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
• Deter unauthorized access, theft, and policy violations through a professional presence, observation, and timely reporting.
