About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for access control coordination at an assigned retail distribution site in Charlotte, North Carolina. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, plus the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours can vary from week to week, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week or scale back as needed. The listed pay rate is $19.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and performs security duties in accordance with site procedures, including access control, traffic observation, incident response, and patrols. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require candidates to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to associates, drivers, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points; verify credentials and visitor authorization; issue visitor passes; and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic, communicate with receiving and shipping personnel, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
