About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol officer at a government location in Sacramento, California, you will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. The role is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and pays $20.10 per hour. Eligible employees can use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations, following established reporting and notification procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting and reporting unusual conditions or policy violations.
Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
