About The Position

Securitas USA is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Security Officer for a logistics-focused distribution facility in Roanoke, Texas. The role supports facility safety and security while helping maintain efficient, compliant logistics operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The officer works with logistics managers, on-site leadership, clients, truck drivers, and internal staff, and handles shipment audits, documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting.

The work environment includes a logistics and distribution facility, frequent interaction with transportation personnel and operations teams, varying noise levels, and outdoor conditions. The position requires continuously walking, standing, bending, and moving throughout the shift, and working in loud, active warehouse and logistics areas.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• At least 1 year of experience in transportation, logistics, or storage security.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations and security protocols.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft detailed, professional emails.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to continuously walk, stand, bend, and move throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in loud and active environments, including warehouse and logistics zones.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and secure facility operations, ensuring safety protocols and security procedures are followed.
• Work with logistics managers and on-site leadership to maintain efficient and compliant processes.
• Conduct trailer audits, including verification, logging, and inspection of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Support international load intake and ensure proper documentation is completed.
• Maintain accurate records using logistics systems and log sheets.
• Create and send detailed, professional reports and emails covering daily activities, incidents, and key metrics.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, truck drivers, and internal staff.
• Identify and resolve issues proactively using sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
