About The Position

Securitas USA is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Security Officer for a logistics-focused distribution facility in Roanoke, Texas. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-traffic logistics environment. The officer helps secure facility operations, supports compliant logistics processes, conducts shipment audits, maintains records, and communicates with clients, drivers, and internal staff.

The work takes place in a logistics and distribution facility, with frequent interaction with transportation personnel and operations teams. The environment includes varying noise levels, outdoor conditions, and active warehouse and logistics zones. The position requires continuous walking, standing, bending, and moving throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• At least 1 year of experience in transportation, logistics, or storage security.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations and security protocols.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft detailed, professional emails.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Professional communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to continuously walk, stand, bend, and move throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and secure facility operations, ensuring safety protocols and security procedures are consistently followed.
• Work collaboratively with logistics managers and on-site leadership to maintain efficient and compliant processes.
• Conduct trailer audits, including verification, logging, and inspection of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Support international load intake processes and ensure proper documentation is completed.
• Maintain accurate records using logistics systems and log sheets.
• Create and send detailed, professional reports and emails outlining daily activities, incidents, and key metrics.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, truck drivers, and internal staff.
• Identify and resolve issues proactively using sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
