About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer for a commercial real estate location in New Orleans, Louisiana. The officer will safeguard the property by monitoring assigned areas, conducting armed patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and providing professional customer service. The role requires an armed guard card or license and strong communication skills. The schedule is Thursday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, and Friday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM. Pay is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor property access, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
