About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Patrol Officer for a government corrections location in Salisbury, North Carolina. The officer will conduct routine and random armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a controlled environment. The role includes communicating professionally with staff and visitors, responding to situations as needed, and providing customer service while representing Allied Universal’s culture of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. The position pays $21.50 per hour and is scheduled Thursdays and Saturdays, 5:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency-response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and parking locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry and exit in accordance with site policies; remain aware of restricted areas and report unauthorized access attempts.
Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, communicate relevant information to site representatives or emergency responders, and maintain required documentation.
