About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Response in West Des Moines, Iowa, you will serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming experience through strong communication and customer service. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $23.90 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience.
• A valid firearms permit.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills and established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the building, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
