About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Ashburn, Virginia, supporting a government education location. The officer will conduct armed patrols, maintain a visible security presence, respond to security concerns, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. An Armed Guard Card or License is required. The position pays $26.62 per hour and is scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus stakeholders while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations, follow established protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain required documentation in accordance with site procedures and applicable regulations.
