Security Officer - Full Time - Day Monitoring
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a daytime monitoring assignment at an educational location in Hamilton, Ohio. The officer will help safeguard the campus and support a welcoming environment by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, interacting professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors, and providing customer service. The position pays $18.04 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Weekly pay is offered. The role includes responding to incidents, alarms, and critical situations according to campus protocols; observing access points and activity; reporting concerns; and completing shift documentation. No prior experience is required. Employment is conditional on applicable background investigation and drug screening. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to drug screening as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following campus protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas.
- Monitor access points and observe assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.
