Security Officer Part Time Access Operations
About The Position
As a part-time Access Control Officer at a utilities location in West Finley, Pennsylvania, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide customer service and clear communication while supporting site operations through teamwork and integrity. The position is scheduled Thursday and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM and pays $18.00 per hour. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
- Control access to restricted operational areas and coordinate visitor and contractor entry requirements.
- Report access irregularities to appropriate site contacts.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established emergency and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to identify and report security-related concerns.
