About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location in Baltimore, Maryland, you will help safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and facilities. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible security presence, monitor access to restricted areas, respond to incidents and alarms, and support a welcoming environment through professional customer service and communication. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, access points, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor and control access to restricted operational areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant security information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
